You always start with working in Rationale by making an account. See the next section how to do so.
Create an account
You start working in Rationale by making a free account. How?
Go to the top of the Homepage and at the right click on [ Get Started ].
When you have finished the procedure, click on [Create an account] and you will be automatically logged in. You will receive an email to verify your e-mail address.
To start working in Rationale, click on the green button [Start Rationale!] on the homepage.
With a free Rationale account only a limited number of options are available.

When you received a code for Rationale you can upgrade your account by entering the code here.
My Profile
Make sure you are logged in, go to the top of the Homepage and at the right click on your avatar for a dropdown menu, select [My Profile].
Here you can change your account settings, email notifications and public profile settings, also the details of your current subscription are shown.
My Avatar
You can use an avatar for which we use Gravatar. For more information go to Gravatar.
Delete account
You can remove your account completely here. All your information including your maps will be deleted of Rationaleonline.com. BE CAREFUL: this action cannot be made undone!
Languages
Choose language
The language of Rationale is automatically adjusted to the language of your browser.
You can choose a different language at the top of the Rationale homepage on the right.

Subscriptions
Kinds of subscriptions
In Rationale there are standard three subscription forms: Basic, Extra and Premium (3 months, 6 months or a year).
For Educational accounts there are two versions: Basic and Extra (per year only).
When an educational subscription that is bought individually (so not by the school or university) is prolonged before the end of the year, the user receives a 50% discount.
You pay beforehand for the whole period.
Educational discount
How to receive a subscription with Educational discount? You only qualify when you use your educational email address for registration and payment.
Who qualifies?
Full- or part-time students enrolled at an education institution defined as an accredited public or private university, college or school that grants degrees.
Full- or part-time faculty and staff employed by an accredited primary, secondary or higher education institution.
When your institution is not on our e-mail discount list send us your domain (possible only after your email address is checked).
